Platform guidance

Instagram workflow guidance

Instagram publishing requires an eligible Instagram Business or Creator account connected to a Facebook Page, subject to Meta platform permissions.

Overview

What this page covers

This page gives customers and platform reviewers a public summary of how Braineek describes Instagram workflows. It is not an internal setup guide and does not expose private app configuration, callback URLs, secrets, tokens, or backend implementation details.

Requirements

Account and permission requirements

Supported account type
Eligible Instagram Business or Creator account connected to a Facebook Page.
Permission and approval caution
Official Meta documentation supplied by the user lists Instagram Login permissions instagram_business_basic and instagram_business_content_publish, and Facebook Login permissions instagram_basic, instagram_content_publish, and pages_read_engagement. Some Business Manager Page role scenarios may also require ads_management and ads_read.
User control
The customer controls whether an eligible Instagram account is connected and which permissions are granted.

Authorization flow

How Instagram authorization and publishing works

1

Choose Instagram

The customer starts an Instagram workflow from Braineek for an eligible professional account.

2

Authenticate with Meta

The customer authenticates through the Meta-supported login flow used for the account connection.

3

Review permissions

The customer reviews Instagram and Page-related permissions requested by Meta before continuing.

4

Confirm Page readiness

The customer confirms the Instagram professional account is connected to the relevant Facebook Page and any required Page Publishing Authorization is complete.

5

Prepare content

Braineek can help prepare media, captions, disclosure fields, and containers only within the permissions granted by the customer.

6

Publish eligible containers

Publishing follows Meta’s container creation and media publish flow, subject to account eligibility, limits, and platform requirements.

7

Disconnect or delete

The customer can disconnect access and request deletion through Braineek support paths and Meta account controls.

Customer checks

Before authorizing Braineek

  1. Confirm the Instagram professional account is connected to a Facebook Page before authorizing Braineek.
  2. Review whether the connection uses Instagram Login or Facebook Login for Business and the permissions requested by Meta.
  3. Confirm any required Page Publishing Authorization is complete before expecting publishing workflows.
  4. Ensure media assets used for publishing are available on a public server when Meta needs to retrieve them.

Use cases

Supported workflow direction

  • Single image and video workflow preparation
  • Reels workflow preparation where Meta permissions allow
  • Carousel workflow planning
  • Caption, AI disclosure, and partnership label review

Implementation boundary

Public guidance, not internal configuration

Professional account requirement

The supplied Meta documentation describes publishing for Instagram professional accounts and requires the account to be connected to a Facebook Page.

Login and permission boundary

Meta documents separate permission sets for Instagram Login and Facebook Login for Business. Public copy should explain that Braineek can operate only within permissions the customer grants.

Container publish flow

The documented publishing flow creates a media container, checks container status when needed, and publishes the container through the media publish endpoint.

Public media hosting

Meta documentation says media used in publishing attempts must be hosted on a publicly accessible server at the time of the publishing attempt.

Rate-limit caution

Meta documents publishing limits and content publishing limit checks. Braineek should keep rate-limit and scheduling expectations visible before customers plan automated workflows.

Trust links

Disconnection, deletion, and policy pages

Customers should be able to disconnect connected accounts and request data deletion through Braineek support and the platform-specific controls available in their connected account.

Instagram questions

Customer-facing Instagram questions.

What should customers check first?

An eligible Instagram professional account connected to a Facebook Page is required, and publishing remains subject to Meta permissions and Page requirements.

How does Instagram publishing work at a high level?

Meta documentation describes creating a media container, checking status when needed, and publishing that container through the media publish endpoint.

Are there publishing limits?

Meta documents publishing limits and exposes a content publishing limit endpoint. Braineek should surface scheduling and rate-limit expectations before production launch.
